Motivational Monday

Motivational Monday

I don’t know about you but I need a Monday reminder that I can handle anything that comes my way. First thing in the morning I browse motivational quotes on Pinterest. It’s the motivation in quotes that give me that little reminder to remain positive, no excuses.

Did you fall off last week on any of your goals? Did your week not turn out as planned? Are you swampped with fast approaching deadlines? It’s okay, if you are!

Hello Monday! We are glad you have arrived to give us a fresh start to a new week. I encourage everyone to set some side aside to write down some goals for your week if you have not already done so. I personally dedicate 20-30 minutes each Sunday night before bed updating my planner and writing out my goals for the upcoming week. I find this beneficial in order to keep up with my many tasks, upcoming events, and appointments.

If you have a planner or goals you have to reflect on them often in order to remain on top of them. It is the only way to achieve success.

Share with me and others your rituals in the comments. What are some tips you have found useful for tracking your goals? Are there any challenges you face, and if so have you mapped out a plan to overcome these challenges?

Motivational Monday

Motivational Monday

For this week I want you to really ask yourself before any actions or thoughts, “Does this support the life I’m trying to create?”

If what you are doing whether it’s your actions or thoughts does not support the lifestyle you are seeking- make the change. Most of the time we do not realize that we may be dwelling in a not so optimal space; lacking motivation and positive intent.

The time has come for us to re-evaluate our lives and circumstances in order to ensure we are following prosperous paths to our destiny (the life we are trying to create).

I am a firm believer in doing good and receiving back what you put out into the universe. If things are not working out the way you like in your life you have full control to make the necessary changes. Is the energy you are producing good or bad?

Monday’s should be used to implement fresh starts into a new week. I encourage you to take some time out of your day today to reflect on your actions and thoughts. Realign yourself as needed. I promise you will not regret taking this moment out of your day.

Please comment below your experience and thoughts. Your experiences can be an inspiration to others.

Happy Monday =)

Motivational Monday: Happiness & Goals

I would like to wish everyone a happy and productive week. Monday’s really set the tone for the week. I hope you all woke up on the right side of the bed this morning. My morning has been amazing so far and I am claiming this week to be blessed and great!

A goal that I have created for this week is to wake up 10-15 minutes earlier each morning so I can eat a little breakfast at our table with my daughter before we start our morning hustle and bustle. This is a good way to wake up and bond; some mother and daughter time. Today was a success and I look forward to continuing this new habit daily. I honestly feel more refreshed and energized to tackle the day!

What are your goals for this week? What plans have you set in order to achieve these goals? Share below in the comments your goals and plans set to achieve your goals. What have you found to be successful or unsuccessful in your planning?

P.S. Here is a little reminder that a happy life is a life filled with goals not materalistic measures.  Let us all strive and achieve success; it’s a rewarding feeling.

Motivational Monday, Personal Development

Motivational Monday: Personal Development as a Motivating Factor

While, fitness and health is important; so is your mental health and wellbeing. Strength training and eating right to build your endurance is a necessity. Building up your mental is important as well and often is neglected. The problem with neglecting your mental wellbeing is that no one but yourself will know that you are struggling; and often people struggle in silence. If this is you– make the necessary changes to make improvements today. Lack of mental strength is more than likely the root cause of your lack of motivation.

Ask yourself: Are you motivated? What is it that motivates you? Do you have a daily routine that gets you moving each day?

Indulging in daily personal development is what keep me motivated. Prior to this year I was not familiar with the term, “personal development.” Personal Development is defined as: activities that improve awareness and identity, develop talents and potential, build human capital and facilitate employability, enhance the quality of life and contribute to the realization of dreams and aspirations.

Erica’s Favorite Podcasts

Personal development can be a game changer for you. Each morning, I start my day out listening to my favorite podcasts: The Quote of the Day Show, The Classy Career Girl Podcast, Optimal Business Daily, and Optimal Finance Daily. Many of these Apple iTunes podcasts are no more than 5-10 minutes long so it does not require a lot of time out of your day to listen to. I look forward to my morning commute just so I can listen to all of the great information these podcasts have to offer.

Personal development contributes to your own personal growth. It encourages and empowers you to think outside the box in order to reach your full potential and obtain success and happiness. Many times we are so settled into our own way of thinking and it takes a different perspective to open our eyes to new ways of thinking and concepts.

I challenge YOU to incorporate more personal development into your daily activities. Whether it is a podcast or a book- set some aside daily to exercise your mental. I promise that you will feel more motivated and inspired in your daily life. Those goals and ideas that you have stored mentally– will come to fruition.

Return back to this post in a few weeks and share with me your progress. Share this post with others, as it may be helpful to someone else in their journey to becoming a healthier and better person.

Fitness Journey

Started on Instagram- Now, I’m Here

I am sitting here typing away on my laptop thanks to the encouragement of my husband, Andrew.

Sitting here… trying to contemplate what to write about for my initial blog post. Well… I suppose I should share with you how the thought of a blog came about. I was encouraged by Andrew to expand my methods of reaching people on their fitness journey. As my followers grew on instagram, it became evident that people are interested in my personal journey as they travel on their own.

On Instagram I share my life: morning routines, meal planning, meal ideas, results, motivation, etc. I have received a lot of feedback and engagement from followers. While, instagram is a great method of reaching people it is limited regarding posts and details. Blogging offers more options for documenting my journey and offering more information to others.

I plan to use my blog to share recipes, fitness plans, motivation, personal development, and health/wellness related posts. I encourage every reader to comment on each blog post as we grow a community here at Fit Life with Erica (FLWE).
